ACT Furniture, based in the West Midlands, specialise in very high quality real wood veneer office furniture.

As a UK company, established since 1989, ACT have continued to grow and develop their product ranges in order to ensure that they offer the best, high quality office furniture to their clients.

Every part of the manufacturing process is carried out in-house, including the selection, matching and laying of veneers. This ensures that all suites of furniture have matching veneer finishes.

All furniture is hand finished and polished by skilled, experienced staff, several of whom are cabinet makers, using a blend of traditional methods and modern ideas to provide furniture for today's discerning customer.

There are two standard ranges of furniture comprising desks, storage and boardroom t ables as well as reception units. Nimbus has 40mm bullnose hardwood edges, and Stratus has a 30mm radius hardwood edge.

ACT Furniture offer a full range of exception office furniture, including:

Storage Wall: Because every office is different ACT have designed a range of stackable storage with varying heights of base and top units. These can be arranged to suit any most requirements and will take all filing solutions. Plinths can be made to be scribed in on site to obtain the 'built in' look. Base and top units can be open fronted or have glass or wooden doors and can be half-width.

Modular Tables: A range of tables for Training and Meeting rooms as well as Boardrooms. All tables are square edged to ensure that they can be arranged in different configurations and have 3mm hardwood lipping. They are available in 25mm, 30mm and 40mm top thicknesses and with timber clad legs. They also come with folding frames or metal legs in silver or chrome. There are standard shapes including trapezoidal, semi-circular, polo and quadrants.

All products are available in 11 standard veneers with matching hardwood edges and are arranged into 3 price bands. Other veneers can be used but could be limited by the availability of matching hardwoods. There are also options for contrasting inlays. A 5mm line inlay is an option on either the face or the edge of tops and panels of inlay can be used. They also offer a contrasting hardwood edge on the Nimbus range of furniture.

ACT offer a standard range of office furniture units, but when the Nimbus and Stratus ranges of standard items do not meet with requirements, there is the option to have a special item manufactured.It may be a case of slightly altering some dimensions, or designing something that is substantially different. Normal delivery lead times are 4-6 weeks for standard products, longer for specials, depending on the complexity of the work involved.
