A Buyers Guide to Meeting Tables
There are many different styles and types of meeting tables available, depending on your specific requirements. Modular tables are usually available in rectangular and half-moon shapes and can be used in a flexible way to create many different table shapes. Modular tables are particularly useful for multi-purpose rooms, for example room that double up as conference rooms and training rooms.
Modular tables can be re-configured quickly to meet these needs. They can also be used with linking kits to provide a more permanent installation if required. As an example, the Deluxe Modular Table range from GDB International is available in 12 different shapes and sizes, in 25mm melamine-faced board in Beech, Cherry or Pear finishes and frames in Graphite or Aluminium finish to match most standard Office Furniture. Modular tables need not be just ordinary tables, for example the Mayfair range from Tula tables is available in a wide range of real wood veneers, suitable for the most demanding boardrooms. Folding or fliptop modular tables are also available on the office furniture market, these have the added benefit of being able to be folded away and stored when not required. The flip-top tables, also from GDB, offer similar configurations but with tops that flip down for easy storage and transport. Hawk Training Room tables are available in a range of sizes and shapes, in standard, folding or flip-top format. They often have special transport and storage trolleys for additional ease of use. Full-sized meeting room tables come in a variety of styles and finishes, from contemporary glass and steel to traditional wood veneer. Normal meeting tables can be obtained from stock, but if you need a non-stocked size or finish you will normally have to wait 4-6 weeks. Melamine surfaces are particularly hard-wearing and resist coffee stains, scratching etc. Real wood veneer tables are also available, but these are not so hard wearing an need regular maintenance.
